Running a business – especially a small business – is about more than profit and loss. It’s about contributing to the health of the community and being a good neighbor. That’s why I make giving back an integral part of my business practice.
My philosophy is to give generously and consistently to the community I serve and to which I owe so much of my success – in business and in life.
I have been a volunteer coach for the Police Athletic League for several years. It is extremely rewarding to see the children in the program given the opportunity to be active in sports and to be mentored by police officers as positive roll models, who know that if children are active and engaged they will have a greater chance of avoiding the pitfalls that many inner city children face such as gangs and violence.
The Oklahoma City Police Athletic League (OKC PAL) is a 501(c)(3) organization that exists, in partnership with the Oklahoma City Police Department, to serve students and schools in Oklahoma City.
They provide athletic programs, leadership skills training, and service opportunities to the students and schools involved in their programs.
